This great new idea will keep your sliders in place. After you have arranged your sliders on the leather, use a pointed metal tool (such as an awl) to press the back and crimp it in place. Don't use a beading awl as the point might break off.
Crimp sliders make excellent companions to focal sliders or multi slider designs that otherwise might shift on the leather. They can replace o-rings, and be used as a design element.
