It is so handy to have these kits with 24 crimp tubes and 24 crimp covers. Basic Elements for the Beadsmith. Check your wire size to ensure it will fit into the tube, through your clasp and back through the tube before crimping. A sizing chart is below. The 2mm crimp tube in this kit fits the most popular range of wire from .015 to .019. The crimp cover is smooth.
- Crimp Tubes:
- Outside Diameter (OD): 2mm
- Inside Diameter (ID): 1.5mm
- Beading or stringing wire = .007 to .014mm - use 1mm OD tube
- Beading or stringing wire = .015 to .019 - use 1.8 or 2mm OD tube (Most popular size)
- Beading or stringing wire = .020 + - use 3mm OD tube
