For knotting a better choice is Griffin Silk, also on this site. 20 Gauge is one of the most popular sizes - dead soft for flexibility but it holds its shape beautifully. Thickness increases as the gauge number decreases.

COLOUR NOTES:

• Silver Plated Tinned Copper is copper wire coated with tin then silver plated. This increases its durability and tarnish resistance.
• Plated Silver is silver plate over copper and is more economical.
• Gold is plated with pure silver first then plated with gold. This provides excellent tarnish resistance.
• Natural is the color of the base copper wire, unplated. It is a brightish copper tone.
• Champagne is a soft, yellowish gold
