Give your handmade jewelry a beautiful, professional finish with Fine 0.7mm French Wire, also known as Gimp or Bullion Wire.
French Wire is a tightly coiled metal wire designed to protect beading thread when attaching clasps, connectors, and ear wires. It helps prevent friction and wear at connection points while creating a neat, elegant finish.

How to Use French Wire
Cut a small section of French Wire, approximately 1/4–1/3 inch (6–8mm), using regular scissors.
Thread the cut section onto your beading needle and thread, pass through your clasp or connector loop, and return through your beads to secure.
The French Wire creates a protective loop around the thread, helping prevent friction and wear.
Choosing the Right Size
Fine 0.7mm French Wire works well with most size 10–13 beading needles and thread, including up to size 6 silk knotting cord or 8 lb FireLine.
For thicker threads or larger clasp loops, consider our Medium 0.9mm French Wire.
Helpful Tips
French Wire is delicate and should not be stretched or bent at sharp angles. If a kink occurs, simply cut away the damaged section and continue using the remaining wire.
A little extra wire may be included to account for occasional kinking during handling.
