These moose hides come from an Indigenous owned company in Quebec. They retrieve the hides after hunting season in the Quebec mountains and have it finished in a local tannery. The hides are soft, pliable and the smell is incredible. They are wonderful as a foundation for bead embroidery, as backing for a finished product, for lace or rustic bracelets and necklaces. It is truly a sustainable and local product given with the blessing of Mother Earth. 

The hides may have small holes and all are irregular sizes. At 3.5 ounces the hides are a medium weight - perfect for jewelry and soft goods.

NOTE: All the hides are an intense black with little or no variation in color. Any variation is a function of light and camera.
